Gill Prior, Group Compliance Manager of The Brownsword Group, is running at 3 charity events to raise money for the Dr. Hadwen Trust, starting with a 5k in Alexandra Park in June, the 5k colour run in July (pictured here after a dowsing in powder paint) and finishing with a the 10k Blackpool Illuminations Night Run in August.
Having raised over £500 so far, including a generous donation from The Brownsword Group, Gill says “I do a lot of voluntary work with animals in my spare time, but wanted to challenge myself with something outside my comfort zone; running definitely fits that bill!”
The Dr Hadwen Trust (DHT) is the UK’s leading non-animal medical research charity, funding and promoting the development of techniques and procedures to replace the use of animals in biomedical research.
Funded solely by charitable donations, the DHT has awarded grants to over 180 research projects since 1971 in diverse areas of medical research including cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, asthma, diabetes, kidney, heart and liver disease, to name only a few. To date, we continue to be the UK’s leading charity provider of grants solely dedicated to animal replacement research in biomedical research.
