After hearing a news report about food poverty in Greater Manchester, Fraud Administration Rachael (pictured right) was moved to take action. She arranged a collection at the office, asking people to donate what they could to go to a local food bank.
Food banks have appeared all over the country in recent years and are a vital source for many people who find themselves in need. The main items required are long life products such as tinned fruit, pies and vegetables, but also nappies and other toiletries.
Rachael decided to take the items to St. Mary’s in Haughton Green, an outlet serving the area local to our offices. Rachael said, “the kids and I saw the news about food banks being short of donations and needing more because of the summer holidays. We decided we needed to do our bit”.
